Wrinkles & Lines
What Is Wrinkles & Lines ?
As time passes, our skin naturally changes. One of the most common signs of these changes is the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They are part of the normal aging process, influenced by factors such as genetics, lifestyle, and environmental exposure.
While wrinkles and lines are a natural reflection of life’s journey, many people look for ways to support their skin as it matures. A consistent skincare routine, sun protection, healthy nutrition, and professional treatments can all play a role in helping the skin look and feel its best.
How Do Wrinkles Form ?
Our facial muscles move constantly — from smiling, frowning, and every subtle expression in between. Over time, these natural movements, combined with the process of ageing and environmental exposure, can influence changes in the skin’s appearance.
When people talk about “lines” on the face, they often describe them in two ways:
-
Expression Lines
These lines are visible when facial expressions are made, such as smiling or raising the eyebrows. -
Resting Lines
These are lines that remain visible even when the face is relaxed and not moving.
Treatment Area
Frown Lines
When we concentrate, worry, or show displeasure, the muscles between our eyebrows naturally contract. With repeated movement over time, these expressions can contribute to the appearance of lines in this area.
Forehead Lines
Lifting the eyebrows causes horizontal creases to appear across the forehead. With age and repeated expressions, these lines may become more noticeable, even at rest.
Crow’s Feet
Often associated with smiling, laughing, or squinting, these lines appear at the outer corners of the eyes. Over time, they can develop into fine lines that remain visible beyond the expression itself.
